Course Outline
Some dive centres insist that Open Water divers are supervised in certain areas, and as an Explorer 30 diver your qualification adds more credibility. The largest incentive is the fact that you will be trained to dive to 30m and it's widely recognised that there are greater attractions at these depths. There’s a lot to it, your entry level course has taught you to dive – now the toolbox is out and you’ll learn how to use specific equipment underwater tailored to the dive you’re actually doing.

Pre-Requisites
Open Water diver (or equivalent certification from another training agency).
Minimum age is 12 (21m qualification).

Course Content
Your online course materials will go hand in hand with five qualification dives.
Three core dives - 'Buoyancy', 'Navigation' and 'Deep' plus a choice of three other dives such as:

Drysuit, Ecological, Night, Search & Recovery or wreck diver. Twinset orientation dive available for those over 18.

RAID Advanced 35
If you wish to have an extended course then you'd be welcome to join RAIDs signature course - The Advanced 35. The course follows the same content as the Explorer 30 with an extra day's training focusing on a 'Rescue dive' & a second deep dive to qualify you to dive to 35m! The course is not a pre-requisite to progress to Rescue Diver.

Includes:
Course materials, air fills & certification.

Excludes
Travel to and from the training locations. Kit hire is also not included in the course fee but we can provide full kit hire for £50 per day for your course.

What's next
You'll need a minimum of 20 dives before having the option of progressing to the Rescue diver course, where you will learn to mitigate & manage problems through to assisting in diver related emergencies. Or you may aspire to become a technical diver so you'll need to be looking to complete your deep diver (40m) course and gaining a Nitrox qualification.
