Introduction

Designed for complete beginners. The course allows you to familiarise yourself with scuba equipment at the dive site and experience the thrill of diving in one of our safe and fun open water locations under the direct supervision of your Instructor.

Pre-Requisites

Pool - Minimum age is 8 & for the day experience 12. We however insist that a parent or guardian is also present during the experience for children under the age of 16.

Course Outline

We have a number of beautiful and very safe open water sites to choose from, either here along the stunning Gower Peninsular or in Pembrokeshire for this experience. The bays we use offer almost swimming pool like qualities, being well enclosed with a sandy bottoms and in a couple of locations we use a plethora of sealife! You will be given an introduction to the scuba equipment that you will use and a briefing to familiarise you to the safety aspects of diving. 

Don't worry if you are not too confident, you will be closely supervised and the experience is completely at your own pace. We have a break for lunch and discuss what we have done and seen before re-entering the water in the afternoon to progress and go a little deeper – if you wish. One of the sites we use is also on the edge of a conservation area where fishing is banned - therefore an abundance of sea-life is to be seen! Toilet facilities on site, some sites have cafes, packed lunch required.

Cost & duration  

We normally meet at 9am & you should be finished with us around 4pm, this is your day so at your pace.
