iSteve has been diving for 12 years after overcoming a 'morbid' fear of water by pure dogged determination and bloody mindedness. He's been active with the club since 2017 when he qualified as a Divemaster.

He has enjoyed taking 'newbies' of all ages on Discover Scuba Diving courses at the pool and assisting on Open Water, Advanced Open Water, and Rescue courses both at the pool and at NDAC. Steve is keen to complete his Instructor course in 2019 so that he can become more of an asset to the club, and develop in the PADI system to impart his enthusiasm onto others. He will often post dives that he is keen for others to join him on.

Steve is also an open circuit Tri-Mix Tec qualified diver down to 65m and can easily switch back and forth between single tank recreational diving or multiple tank Tec wreck dives at the likes of Malin Head or Truk Lagoon. A lust for rust!!!

A very keen world wide traveller Steve has dived in Micronesia, Indonesia, Phillipines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Maldives, Egypt, Malta, France (Mediterranean and Normandy), Canary Islands, Mexico, Cozumel, Ireland, Scapa Flow, South coast of England and around Wales. He will tell you that his travels are all to do with his retirement plans!!

He has a bit of a nack of coming across and taking pictures of great marine life, but please dont ask anything technical about his camera setup as its purely a point and press process for him!!!! He is actually knowledgeable and keen to share this love of marine life and his good eye with all.
