PADI Assistant Instructor course

£295 - Two pool sessions & two full days

Course outline

The PADI Assistant Instructor course is the first part of PADIs Instructor Development Course. The second part is the five day OWSI (Open Water Scuba Instructor) followed by two days of instructor examinations.

You will further develop your theory covering topics such as PADI system of education, dive physics, physiology, equipment, decompression theory, risk management & business of diving.

You will also develop your teaching skills in the classroom, pool and open water, learning and demonstrating skills from the open water course with added emphasis on DSD, snorkelling and open water teaching presentations. You will achieve added supervisory responsibilities and will be able to teach additional courses on successful completion.



  • You’ll already be a PADI Divemaster or equivalent

  • 18 years old

  • 60 logged dives including deep, navigation & night

  • Hold a first aid and CPR qualification in last 2 years

  • Be medically fit and sign a fitness to dive

You should have your own dive kit and will be responsible to travel to/from training locations but we can often share vehicles.
