This is a try dive pool session run by Bay Divers that allows you to familiarise yourself with SCUBA equipment and experience the thrill of breathing underwater in a safe and fun environment! The course is designed for complete beginners to give you a taste of the exciting and weightless aquatic environment. If you are not sure if scuba diving is for you, come along and give it a try! We have two scuba diving pool locations in Swansea and Morriston.

Pre-Requisites

Minimum age is 10. A parent or guardian must be at the poolside for children under the age of 16. All students must fill in a PADI Discover Scuba Statement prior to participation.

Course Outline

At the poolside we will give you an introduction to Scuba diving equipment before getting kitted up to enjoy your experience with a Bay Divers PADI Instructor or PADI Divemaster. You will be given time to adjust to the exhilarating feeling of breathing underwater before setting off on your unforgettable experience - your first scuba dive!

Course Duration

A one-hour pool session in either Swansea or Morriston.

How much is it and what is included?

The course costs £20 and includes all equipment, although you will need a swimsuit / shorts and a towel. If you're checking out other Dive centres for try dives, make sure you ask how long you'll get in the water. Bay Divers try dives have a full hour of supervision for your first scuba dive experience!

What happens next?

You will receive a full poolside de-brief regarding your first scuba dive and if you decide you want to continue the Scuba experience you can progress to the PADI Open Water Course. If you enjoyed your experience that much and decide to enrol on the PADI Open Water course the money you've paid for your session will be taken off your PADI Open Water course fees. Furthermore, your experience will count as 'Dive 1' of the Open Water course should you wish to enrol!
