Club
club If you are looking to join a vibrant, friendly and busy dive club in the Swansea area then look no further. You'll need to be a qualified diver already and we warmly welcome divers from any diver training agency. We ask a token £15 per year for club membership, for this you'll get a discounted rate on courses conducted with us and invites to our club events that we organise throughout the year. For example as a club we've visited various dive sites throughout the country along with club weekends in Pembrokeshire and NDAC Chepstow. Every year we organise our annual pilgrimage – a weeks ‘liveaboard' diving trip to the Red Sea in Egypt and this year we have already organised a long weekend trip to Plymouth, a ‘Deep South' liveaboard week in Egypt and numerous training and pleasure weekends along the South Wales coast plus a potential wreck discovery week in Normandy looking for D-Day wrecks leftover from the Second World War. There is a real mixed bag of experience levels within the club from youngsters who have not long qualified to older guys with masses of experience, single tank divers, twinset and rebreather divers. We try our utmost to ensure all abilities are catered for. We're also a very sociable and friendly club and we like to organise social events. If you're on facebook you'll get access to our closed group where we post details of up and coming events. If you're not on facebook, don't worry we'll keep you informed via text or email. We meet every Thursday evening at 7pm at Morriston Leisure Centre (SA6 6NN) for a club dive, keeping clear of any confined water training in progress. On completion we go for a drink at the Deer's Leap which is just opposite the Leisure Centre. You'd be welcome to join us – we look forward to seeing you!

Various weekends throughout the summer slowly coming together and we promulgate these dates on our Facebook club members page!
Thursday 25 th – Sunday 28 th May – Portland Long Weekender
We'll be heading to Portland this year for 3-4 days of diving the South coast, various dives available including the 1920s submarine ‘M2', the German U-boat ‘UB74', the large passenger vessel ‘Alex Van Opstal' and other vessels like ‘Countess of Erne' and ‘Binnendyke' we'll complete our diving with a BBQ on the final day before we head home. The weekend will be suitable for all abilities though some of the wrecks will be more suitable to those with a deep diver qualification. Nevertheless, if we have some open water divers with us there will be plenty more to discover and the company we'll be using have a couple of RIBs too!
Friday 28 th July - Saturday 5 th August – Annual Egypt Liveaboard, Northern Wrecks & Reefs
We'll be heading out again with our partner company Blue O Two to embark on the recently refurbished ‘Blue Fin'. We change itinerary every year and this year it's back to where it all started some years ago and ‘Northern Wrecks & Reefs'. The boat accommodates 22 divers with luxury accommodation on the boat, first class food and service, entry to the water either from the back of boat or one of the vessel's RIBs. It's going to be another amazing week – that's why we do it every year! This year our itinerary includes diving the wrecks of Sha'ab Abu Nuhas namely ‘Carnatic', ‘Ghiannis D' & ‘Khrissoula K' plus ‘Dunraven' and we will also spend a good day on the world renowned ‘Thistlegorm' which was discovered after her sinking by Jacques Cousteau in the 1950s. We'll get some incredible reef diving in as well, on sites such as Jackson Reef, Shark & Youlanda and fingers crossed some quality drift diving in the Straits of Tiran. We will conclude the trip on the way back to Hurghada with a chance to dive with some dolphins before we get in for the final night, a meal and a couple of beers and a shisha!
August – Date to be confirmed.
Club weekender down in West Wales and we'll get a RIB in the water and do some fun dives too. There is a B&B in the locality and a campsite around the corner where we can get some tents up and enjoy a BBQ after our diving. Then there's always Little Haven for some light entertainment!
Friday 29 th September – Friday 6 th October – D-Day Wreck Week, Normandy, France.
We've finalised a trip to travel to Normandy to dive the D-Day wrecks, vessels that were sunk on or around the allied invasion of Normandy in June 1944. Promises to be an awesome and sobering week. We'll be staying in accommodation in Normandy too and taking the boat to sea every day so a great opportunity to visit some of the historic sites.
Looking forward to 2018 there’s lots of stuff in the planning process:
  • June 2018- Trip to Dahab to dive the local reefs and cavern systems including the infamous ‘Blue Hole'. We'll also be teaching some technical courses during the trip too, but the week will be open to all divers of all abilities as we use a centre in Dahab that has both a recreational and technical facility. Despite all the bad press you hear about Egypt, vast majority is unfounded and Dahab is an absolutely incredible place. For the adventurous, we'll climb St Catherine's Mount one morning too and witness the stunning sunrise of the Sinai!
  • Late July 2018 – Annual Egypt Liveaboard. Date/itinerary to be confirmed.
  • Late Summer 2018 – Malin Head, Northern Ireland. We are in the process of having a week secured for us to take a group of technical divers to dive shipwrecks such as the ‘Emperor Heritage' and the U-boats that litter the area. We also plan to explore some new and undived sites too. The week will be open for our technical divers only. Something to aspire to, if you're not yet in the world of tec!
Then we're into 2019 and we are already looking at organising a trip to Truk Lagoon in Micronesia, beyond Guam to dive the sunken Japanese fleet of WW2 plus getting back to Scapa Flow for the 100 th anniversary of the sinking of the Imperial German Fleet of WW1. More info when we have it!
